Big conversations about how people and goods move through Tampa Bay are set to take place right in the heart of Ybor City. On Wednesday, October 9, the Maritime Alliance will host its annual On the Horizon breakfast at Hotel Haya, bringing together some of the most influential voices in our region’s transportation and logistics sectors.
This year’s panel features:
- Michael Stephens, President & CEO of Tampa International Airport
- Justin Hall, District 7 Secretary for the Florida Department of Transportation
- Tony Ferrera, CSX’s Florida Zone Superintendent
- Raul Alfonso, Executive VP & COO, Port Tampa Bay
From the airport to the port, from railroads to roadways, these leaders will discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping Tampa Bay’s future—how our city stays connected, how new technologies like AI are transforming the industry, and what’s next for one of the fastest-growing regions in the country.
“With this incredible panel, we expect an exciting conversation about the business of logistics in our area,” said Bill Kuzmick, President of the Maritime Alliance. “We look forward to hearing how these organizations work together on a daily basis, as well all the exciting things coming in the future.”
The Ybor City Chamber of Commerce is co-hosting the breakfast this year, a fitting partnership considering Ybor’s historic role. “From our community’s very beginnings, Ybor City has been a logistics hub,” said Chamber President Lee Bell. “so it makes sense to have this important conversation right in the heart of Ybor.”
Mosaic, the agriculture-chemicals company that specializes in the mining, production, and marketing of phosphate and potash, is the Premium Sponsor of the event.
On the Horizon breakfast kicks off with networking at 7:30 a.m., followed by the panel discussion from 8–9 a.m. Tickets are limited to just 200 seats and are expected to sell out quickly.
