This month, Code Wiz St. Petersburg is marking its one-year anniversary—a milestone that represents resilience, creativity, and the power of community.
Founded by local owners Jen and Scott Callison, Code Wiz opened its doors just two weeks before Hurricane Helene flooded their home and, not long after, Hurricane Milton caused flooding at the business itself. Despite these challenges, the Callisons kept their vision alive: to build a welcoming space where children could explore coding, robotics, and problem-solving in a fun, supportive environment.
Over the past year, Code Wiz has grown into a hub for learning and innovation in North St. Pete. The center offers after-school and weekend programs, school break camps, and satellite programs throughout the city, giving kids access to hands-on experiences that spark imagination and build real-world skills. Their approach not only teaches coding and robotics but also fosters confidence, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Looking ahead, Code Wiz plans to expand its impact with a second location in South St. Petersburg next year—furthering their mission to make tech education accessible to more families across Tampa Bay.
At its heart, Code Wiz St. Pete is about more than technology—it’s about investing in the future of the community by helping young learners discover their potential and “unleash their inner genius.”
